Shannon McLin Carlyle earned her law degree with honors from Pepperdine University, where she was Associate Editor of the Pepperdine Law Review. She also earned her bachelors degree in journalism with honors from the University of Central Florida. She formed The Carlyle Appellate Law Firm after serving as a law clerk at the Fifth District Court of Appeal from 1993 to 1997 for the Honorable Gilbert S. Goshorn Jr. |

By appointment of The Florida Bar's president, Ms. Carlyle serves on the Appellate Court Rules Committee. She is an active member of the Bar's Appellate Practice Section, where she serves on the Executive Council and as the Section's delegate to the Bar's Council of Sections. She currently chairs the Section's Outreach Committee. She is also active in the Family Law Section, where she serves as co-chairman of that Section's Amicus Committee.
Ms. Carlyle is Board Certified by The Florida Bar Board of Legal Specialization as an Appellate Specialist and has received Martindale-Hubbell's highest rating. She is also a Board Certified Appellate Court Mediator, and serves on the Mediation Task Force for the Fifth District Court of Appeal.

Christopher V. Carlyle has an extensive background in appellate as well as commercial litigation. Prior to joining The Carlyle Appellate Law Firm, he practiced a wide range of commercial litigation with Holland and Knight, LLP and McLin & Burnsed, P.A. Mr. Carlyle is admitted to practice in Florida state and federal courts, the U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court. |

Mr. Carlyle is a member of The Florida Bar, and is active in the Bar's Appellate Practice Section. He currently serves on the Appellate Practice Section's Leadership Committee as well as the Publication's Committee.
In addition to his state and national bar activities, Mr. Carlyle is a member of the Lake County Bar Association, and has an extensive background in community service. His present positions include: Vice President, Leadership Lake County Alumni Association; Board Member, Boys & Girls Clubs of Lake and Sumter Counties, Inc.; Board Member, SunTrust Lake County Administrative Board.

Gilbert S. Goshorn, Jr. served as a Judge of Florida’s Fifth District Court of Appeal for ten years, and was Chief Judge of that court from 1991 to 1993. Prior to his service as an appellate judge, Mr. Goshorn was a Judge with the Eighteenth Judicial Circuit, and was Chief Judge of that court during his tenure. He was nominated for appointment to the Florida Supreme Court in 1993. |

| From 1988 to 1999, Mr. Goshorn was a member of the Judicial Qualification Commission, which hears and provides oversight of complaints about state judges, and was the Chair of that body in 1997-98. He is AV rated by Martindale-Hubbell.
Mr. Goshorn received his law degree from the University of Florida, where he was elected to the University of Florida Hall of Fame, as well as the Florida Blue Key, an honorary leadership fraternity. He has over forty years of experience in Florida law.
Mr. Goshorn is active in business and public service. He formerly served on the Board of Directors of the American Cancer Society, Brevard County, and is a member of the Masonic Indian River Lodge #90, the Azan Shrine Temple, the Orlando Scottish Rite Bodies, and the Elks Lodge No. 2113. He has also served on various boards of directors for Florida banks.
Mr. Goshorn has contributed to the economic growth of Florida and the local community. He is a past two-time President of the Titusville Area Chamber of Commerce, and was elected as a Member of the Canaveral Port Authority (1978) and became Vice Chairman of the Authority in 1980. He is one of the original organizers and the Chair of the Brevard Economic Development Commission, and was an original organizer and board member of the Brevard Guidance Center.

Roy B. Skip Dalton, Jr. Roy B. Skip Dalton, Jr. (of counsel) brings 28 years of
trial experience to the firm, and has recently returned from a six month hiatus as Chief General Counsel
to United States Senator Mel Martinez. He has served as a Diplomat in the American Board of Trial Advocates
